From Wednesday, January 29 to Thursday, January 30, due to the winter-type pressure configuration, it is necessary to pay attention to heavy snowfall in the Expressway centered on Fukushima Prefecture (Aizu region), Niigata Prefecture, and Nagano Prefecture, especially in the mountainous areas of Ban-Etsu Expressway (Aizu region), Kan-Etsu Expressway, Hokuriku Expressway (area around Nagaoka City) and Joshinetsu Province.
Depending on the future forecast, the road may be closed, so please check the latest weather forecast and road traffic information before going out.

　If you are traveling to areas where snowfall is expected, be sure to use winter tires and carry chains.

　Large vehicles, in particular, should put on chains early during heavy snowfall. Since putting on chains on the main road is very dangerous, please put on chains early at the nearest SA/PA or chain fitting/removal area.
　In addition, driving on snowy or icy roads with normal tires is against the law. If a commercial vehicle becomes unable to be driven on the road due to not having winter tires, administrative sanctions may be imposed.

　積雪・凍結した冬道で通常感覚の運転は禁物。頭の中も冬道モードに切り替えてください。積雪・凍結道路での急なハンドル・アクセル・ブレーキの操作は、スピンなどを引き起こし大変危険です。
　動き始めも加速・減速も「ゆるやか」「ゆっくり」をキーワードに慎重な操作を。そして普段より車間距離をあけて、余裕を持った運転を心がけましょう。
