"Planting Flowers Opening Ceremony"

On March 22, 2017(Wed), we planted flower seedlings together with 51 local elementary school students around the IC to mark the opening of the Nagaoka Kita Smart IC.

These flower seedlings were grown by local agricultural high school students, and 600 pink and white primroses and red and yellow primula were prepared. After receiving a lecture on how to plant a planter from the employees who acted as teachers, the children carefully dug the soil one by one with a transplanting iron and planted flower seedlings happily.

Three days later, on March 25th (Sat), at 14:00, the smart IC was opened, and the opening ceremony was celebrated with a performance by members of the local junior high school brass band and a balloon lease by the children of the nursery school. The flower planters planted by the children were also lined up near the entrance of the smart IC and added flowers to the opening ceremony.

We will continue to make the Expressway more convenient and make a great contribution to the development of the local community.
