NEXCO EAST Joetsu Management Office (Joetsu City) opened the E8 Hokuriku Expressway Nadachi Tanihama Nadachitanima Service Area on June 23 (Friday) as part of the "Flower and Green Peace Highway Garden Project". (SA) On Out-bound track, we will build a flower bed with the students of Takada Agricultural High School.
This initiative is being implemented as part of the "Flower and Green Peaceful Highway Garden Project," which aims to create a space where customers can use the SA more easily and refresh themselves by arranging trees and flowers, as well as promoting regional cooperation.

Approximately 430 flower seedlings of petunias, melanpodiums, etc. raised by the students of Takada Agricultural High School will be planted in flowerbeds in a layout designed by the students.

What is "Flower and Green Peace Highway Garden Project"?

NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office, along with regional cooperation, Hokuriku Expressway Nadachi Tanihama SA (Out-bound line), Yoneyama SA (In-bound line, Out-bound line), Kurosaki PA (Out-bound line), Kan-Etsu Expressway Echigo Kawaguchi SA (Out-bound line) This project is being implemented at five locations.
The NEXCO EAST Group has positioned the period from 2021 to 2025 as "a period that contributes to the achievement of the SDGs and transforms into a new future society," and is making various efforts.
The "Flower and Green Peace Highway Garden Project" is a project that plays a part in cooperation with local educational institutions, support for local education, and community development that allows people to continue living, and as an activity that includes the meaning of promoting greening, SDGs. We believe that it will contribute to the goals of 4, 11, 15, and 17.
