Regarding Expressway tolls, the conditions for applying discounts are set forth in the "Package of Measures to Prevent and Suppress Overtourism (Decided by the Ministerial Meeting for the Promotion of Tourism Nation on October 18, 2023)" in order to disperse and equalize tourism demand. A policy has just been announced, including reviewing the balance between holidays and weekdays.
Regarding excursion passes, which are implemented with the aim of promoting sightseeing excursions, we have expanded the discount rate to encourage use on weekdays, but based on this policy, In order to Large usage, we are creating more attractive products, such as strengthening collaboration with local governments and planning and selling excursion passes. We will continue to.

Additionally, from 2022 onwards, holiday discounts will not be applied nationwide during Golden Week, Obon, and the year-end and New Year holidays from the perspective of dispersing traffic during busy periods, but based on the results of consideration based on this policy. From 2024 onwards, Silver Week (three-day weekend in September, etc.) will no longer be applied (please refer to the attached document [PDF: 463KB] for specific exclusion dates).
Furthermore, as traffic congestion is observed during other three-day holidays, etc., we will continue to discuss with the Ministry of Expressway, Transport and Tourism a review of holiday discounts for three-day holidays, etc. from fiscal 2025 onward, taking into account future expressway usage conditions.
