NEXCO EAST Kitakami Management Office (Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture) E46 A night-time road closure will be implemented on Kamaishi Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "Kamaishi Road") from Hanamaki Junction (hereinafter referred to as the "JCT") to Towa Interchange (hereinafter referred to as the "IC") to carry out work to update road information board equipment, etc.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when heading out.

2. Detour

For detours, please refer to Appendix 1 [PDF: 236KB].
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Construction overview

At Kamaishi Road Upper and Lower Lines Hanamaki JCT ~ Towa IC, we will carry out renewal work on aging road information board equipment. In order to minimize inconvenience to our customers, we will close the road at night on weekdays when traffic is low, and carry out construction intensively and efficiently. This is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Four. About transfer fee adjustment due to traffic closure

For customers who temporarily flow out of the Expressway due to nighttime closure, bypass the closed section, and transfer in the same direction again, we will make a "transfer adjustment" to adjust the toll according to the section used.

Five. How to obtain traffic information

  • Posters and leaflets will be displayed at nearby toll gates and rest facilities.

    The highway radio section is indicated by signs on the Expressway.
  • Highway Information Terminal
    We will inform you of road information in an easy-to-understand manner by the monitor screens installed in SA / PA.
  • VICS
    You can get road traffic information with VICS-compatible car navigation and other on-board devices.
  • Information is also distributed through the official X (formerly Twitter) account.
