NEXCO EAST　The Akita Management Office (Akita City, Akita Prefecture) will close the E7 Nihonkai-Tohoku Expressway ("Nihonkai Tohoku Expressway") from the Akita Airport Interchange ("IC") to the Iwashiro IC on the upper and lower lines during the night for pavement repair work and other reasons.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers and ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing extra time for your trip.

2. Detour

The detour will increase the travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time before heading out.

3. Construction overview

Due to damage to the road surface between Akita Airport IC and Iwaki IC on the Nihonkai Tohoku Expressway, we will carry out pavement repair work. In order to minimize the inconvenience to our customers, we will close the road at night on weekdays when the traffic volume is low, and carry out the construction work intensively and efficiently. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this work is necessary for safe and comfortable use of Expressway.

Four. How to obtain traffic information

  • Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.
  • A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.

    The highway radio section is indicated by signs on the Expressway.
  • Highway Information Terminal
    We will inform you of road information in an easy-to-understand manner by the monitor screens installed in SA / PA.

    You can get road traffic information with VICS-compatible car navigation and other on-board devices.
