NEXCO EAST Kitakami Management Office (Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture) is located in the tunnel from the E46 Akita Expressway Kitakami Nishi Interchange (IC) to the Yuda IC on the provisional two-lane section (one lane on each side). We planned to close the road at night for equipment renewal work, pavement repair work, maintenance repair work, and inspection work, but in view of the parallel disaster traffic closure situation on National Highway No. 107, one side is as follows in FY4 of Oriwa. Construction will be carried out under alternate traffic restrictions.
Due to this regulation, it takes about 20 minutes to wait. It will take longer than usual to pass, so please leave plenty of time. Please note that you may have to wait longer if an emergency vehicle such as an ambulance or fire engine is traveling.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to customers who use the Expressway, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation in the construction work necessary to use the Expressway safely and comfortably.

• One-sided alternate traffic regulation will be enforced on weekdays except weekends and holidays.
  (Friday one-sided alternating traffic restrictions will be enforced until 6 am on Saturday.)
