NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba Ward, Sendai City) and Miyagi Prefectural Road Corporation (Aoba Ward, Sendai City) aim to promote tourism in the Tohoku region. Unlimited rides on Expressway 6 prefectures in the Tohoku region for a maximum of 3 days We will release "2019 Tohoku Sightseeing Free Pass" which is very affordable (only for ETC vehicles such as ordinary cars and light cars).
This product has been on sale since 2012 for the purpose of supporting tourism recovery in the Tohoku region, and last year we received 1.2 times as many applications as the previous year, which was very well received.
This year, in addition to the three plans sold last year, in commemoration of the opening of the Tohoku Chuo Expressway (between Nanyo Takahata IC and Yamagata Kamiyama IC), we will also sell the "Tohoku Chuo Expressway Opening Memorial Plan".

Therefore, this year, we will speciallysell the "Tohoku Chuo-do Opening Commemorative Plan" to commemorate the opening. Use your free pass to enjoy sightseeing in the South Tohoku region.

Five E13 About opening of Tohoku Chuo Expressway (between Nanyo Takahata IC and Yamagata Kamiyama IC)
The section of Nanyo Takahata IC-Yamagata Kamiyama IC (extension 24.4km) of Tohoku-Chuo Expressway (commonly known as Tohoku Chuo Expressway) will open at 15:00 on Saturday, April 13, 2019. With the opening of this section, it will be seamlessly connected to Tohoku Expressway and Yamagata Expressway, completing a tour route that crosses Yamagata, Miyagi, and Fukushima.
