2 Regulation period and traffic congestion forecast
(1) Traffic regulation period
Hiraizumi Maasawa IC - Mizusawa IC: October 10 (Tue), 2017 to November 14 (Tue), 2017 (36 days)
Between Sendai Miyagi IC - Izumi IC: Wednesday, October 11, 2017 to Thursday, November 30, 2017 (51 days)
(2) Congestion Forecast
During the construction period, we anticipate the occurrence of traffic jams, mainly on weekends and holidays. Especially in Miyagi prefecture, traffic jams (up to approximately 5km on the In-bound line) are expected to occur on holidays, so please take time to go out.
3 Traffic restrictions
In the floor slab replacement work, we will reduce the section of each two lanes of up and down lines to one lane and consolidate it into one lane to enforce day-to-day traffic control. During the several days at the beginning and end of the construction period, there will be an all-day lane restriction for the up and down lanes as a preparation work to switch lanes.

4 Construction content
Expressway In order to keep the network function healthy for a long time, we will replace the deteriorated reinforced concrete floor slabs of Iwaweir Bridge and Hirosegawa Bridge with durable floor slabs.
