We will inform you about the traffic volume (preliminary value) and maintenance effect for one month after the opening of the Joban Expressway Joban Tomioka IC-Namie IC (14.3 km) which opened on March 1, 2015 (Sunday). Going forward, we will continue to sequentially survey and organize traffic volume trends and the effects of opening traffic.
- One month after opening the Joban Expressway Iwaki JCT to Sendai Wakabayashi JCT, the traffic volume is 8,000 to 33,500 vehicles/day. Attachment 1 [PDF: 557KB]
- The traffic volume between the Joban Tomioka IC and the Namie IC, which opened on March 1, was 8,200 vehicles/day for the first month. Attachment 2 [PDF: 543KB]
- In the Hamadori area of Fukushima Prefecture, 137 factories have been newly established between 2009 and 2014 in connection with the opening of the Joban Expressway. - Traffic volume for one month after opening from Joban Expressway Iwaki JCT to Sendai Wakabayashi JCT
All days: 8,000-33,500 units/day (up to 220% increase)
Weekdays: 7,400 to 34,300 units/day (up to 185% increase)
Holidays: 9,600 to 31,500 units/day (up to 317% increase)
