- About result of winter tire wearing situation investigation on Expressway

NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba-ku, Sendai, Regional Head Office president: Mikio Kashima), Check the winter tire installation status and ask the customer to replace the tires early. Therefore, Expressway in major interchanges (IC), has implemented the mounting survey of winter tire in the early winter period.
The results of the survey conducted on November 30 are shown in the table below.
The winter tire installation rate is higher than in the previous survey (November 24), but the installation rate is still low in South Tohoku (Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures in particular).
Also, compared with the same period last year, the overall wearing rate is low.
Since it is expected that full-scale snow will fall in the Tohoku region, please change to winter tires early and drive safely.

- Survey method: Visually check the tire type of the vehicle passing through the general lane at the tollgate.
(One time: about 100 units or 30 to 60 minutes)
