NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office Yuzawa Management Office (Yuzawa Town, Director: Kazuhiko Haruyama) will close the Kan-Etsu Expressway Yamato Smart Interchange (IC) (upper and lower lines) and temporarily limit ETC travel as follows.
We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers, but we would like to ask for your understanding and cooperation as this is an improvement work that enables the use of large vehicles.
1 Close Yamato Smart IC
| Content | The Yamato Smart IC cannot be used during the period. Please use Muikamachi IC or Koide IC. |

2 Temporary restrictions on ETC travel

[Request to customers using Yamato Smart IC]
From October 20th to November 25th, and from December 3rd to December 15th, we are very sorry, but we cannot use the ETC wireless drive on the Yamato Smart IC. The usage methods during these periods are as follows.
- When entering the Yamato Smart IC and using the Expressway
A staff member will give you a pass at the entrance of the Yamato Smart IC. At the exit toll booth, please give the pass and ETC card to the staff in the general lane, not in the ETC lane. We apologize for the ETC late-night discount, commuting discount, and holiday daytime discount, but please ask the staff at the exit toll booth that "ETC wireless driving was not available."
If you cannot apply at the exit toll booth, please contact NEXCO EAST Customer Center.
Please note that ETC midnight discounts, commuting discounts, and holiday daytime discounts may not be applied if you do not consult the NEXCO EAST Customer Center. - When entering from another toll gate and exiting the Expressway from Yamato Smart IC
Remove the ETC card from the ETC on-board unit and hand it to the staff at the exit of the Yamato Smart IC. For ETC midnight discount, commuting discount, and holiday daytime discount, you do not have to make any particular request.
From November 26th to December 2nd, the Yamato Smart IC will be closed and cannot be used.
