3 Request to customers

At this time, Expressway and service areas are expected to be extremely congested, so from the perspective of avoiding traffic jams and traffic safety, we are calling for the following.

  1. Wear your seat belt in the back seat
The seat belt is a lifeline! It softens the impact on the body during a collision. Please wear seat belts not only in the driver's seat and passenger seat, but also in the rear seats.
  2. Be careful of collisions at the rear of the traffic jam
When a traffic jam occurs, it is easy for a rear-end collision to occur in the traffic jam or at the back of the traffic jam. Don't look aside, try to drive safely, and use a hazard lamp to signal a following car when traffic jams occur, and take precautions to prevent a rear-end collision.
  3. Keep a sufficient distance between ETC lanes and drive slowly to drive safely.
In the ETC lane, keep a sufficient distance between you and the vehicle in front of you, slow down sufficiently so that you can safely stop before the opening/closing bar, and make sure that the opening/closing bar is open before passing.
  4. In the unlikely event of an accident or breakdown, immediately evacuate to a safe place.
Incidents of people being hit by the Expressway are increasing.
If you stop due to a traffic accident or breakdown, staying on the road is very dangerous. If you inform a following vehicle of danger by using a hazard lamp, triangular stop sign, flaming cylinder, etc., be careful of passing vehicles and immediately evacuate to a safe place such as outside the guardrail. Also, please make an emergency call.
  5. Take a moderate break and drive safely
Driving at night or driving for a long time is easy to get tired. Take appropriate breaks in the service area and parking area to ensure safe driving.
In addition, please be aware that there are some cases in which the wrong direction of approach has been entered due to service areas, interchanges, etc., causing you to run backwards on the Expressway opposite direction, resulting in an accident.
  6. Refuel and toilet early
For refueling and toilets, please finish as soon as possible before the traffic jam section.
  7. The use of highway card (Hika) has ended
The use of Highway Cards will be terminated at 24:00 on March 31, 2006 (Friday).
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to customers using the Highway Card (Hika).
The remaining number of hikers is being changed to ETC. We have also started refunding the remaining number of hikers from March 1, 2006.
For more information, please see [ http://www.driveplaza.com/traffic/tolls_etc/highway_card/ ].
