NEXCO EAST Yawara Management Office (Tsukubamirai City, Ibaraki Prefecture) will be closing the E6 Joban Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "Joban Expressway") at night to carry out pavement repair work on the ramps at Kashiwa Interchange (hereinafter referred to as the "IC") and Yatabe IC.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when heading out.

1. Closed location and date and time

  1. Closures: On Joban Expressway the following interchange ramps
    Closure I:
    Kashiwa IC (exit National Route 16 towards Kasukabe and Noda) exit ramp
    Closure II:
    Yatabe IC (coming from the direction of Toride and Tsukubamirai on Prefectural Route 19) Entrance ramp

    Date: February 3rd (Mon) to 5th (Wed), 2025
    Backup dates: Thursday, February 6th to Monday, February 10th, 2025

  • In stormy weather, it will be postponed to the spare day.
  • The decision to carry out construction will be announced on X (formerly Twitter) etc. around 5:00 pm on the day of construction.

2. Detour

For detours, please refer to the attached document [PDF: 1.6MB].
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Construction overview

Due to damage to the road surface at the Kashiwa IC and Yatabe IC of Joban Expressway, pavement repair work will be carried out. The section in which this work will be carried out is a single lane, and since the work cannot be carried out under normal lane restrictions, it is necessary to close the ramps to carry out the work.
Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to customers, we will close the ramps at night on weekdays when traffic volume is low, and carry out the work in a concentrated and efficient manner. This work is necessary to ensure that customers can use Expressway safely and comfortably, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

    The highway radio section is indicated by signs on the Expressway.
  • Highway Information Terminal
    We will inform you of road information in an easy-to-understand manner by the monitor screens installed in SA / PA.
  • VICS
    You can get road traffic information with VICS-compatible car navigation and other on-board devices.
  • Information is also distributed on official X (formerly Twitter) and LINE accounts.
