Takasaki Management Office
NEXCO EAST Takasaki Management Office (Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture) will be carrying out Expressway renewal work at Mimurozawa Bridge, located on the E17 Kan-Etsu Expressway (between Showa IC and Numata IC). Please note that the number of lanes will be reduced due to the all-day traffic restrictions associated with the work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we ask that you please obey the speed limit in restricted areas and drive safely.
Expressway renewal construction is necessary to ensure safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation during the construction work.
1. Overview of traffic regulations

2. Traffic regulation period
- During the construction period, traffic jams of up to approximately 5km are predicted to occur on In-bound lanes on Sunday, November 17th, mainly between 2pm and 4pm, traffic jams of up to approximately 5km on Out-bound lanes on Saturday, November 23rd, mainly between 10am and 12pm, and traffic jams of up to approximately 8km on the In-bound lanes on Sunday, November 24th, mainly between 3pm and 4pm.

Five. Request when passing special vehicles
Due to restrictions imposed by this construction, special vehicles over 3.0m wide will not be able to pass through. Customers who wish to use this road are asked to take a detour to nearby roads.
In addition, please note that if a special vehicle permission (※) has only been obtained for Expressway routes, you will also need to obtain permission for general roads.
- What is special vehicle passage permission?
Based on the Road Law and the Vehicle Restriction Ordinance, this is a permit required for special vehicles that exceed general restrictions (length, weight, vehicle width, etc.) to pass on public roads.
6. Request when using
- Traffic congestion is predicted to occur in some sections of the construction zone, so please allow plenty of time for your trip.
- As the driving lanes and road shoulders are narrow, please observe the speed limit when passing, maintain a safe following distance, and be careful to avoid rear-end collisions. In addition, the lanes change significantly before and after the restricted section, so please follow the local information signs.
- Vehicles for construction work may enter and leave the area around the construction site, so please be careful when traveling ahead.
- During the construction period, we will provide traffic information using LED information boards, construction restriction information using road information boards and road signs, and will be calling for caution so that people can pass safely. Please check this information when passing through and pass through safely.
