Three important themes this time! !!

  1. Prevent mindless driving! If you feel tired, take an early break.
  2. Breakdown troubles increase rapidly in the summer! Let's inspect the vehicle before departure.
  3. Prevent motorcycle accidents! Drive at a safe speed without passing through.

(1) Avoid mindless driving! If you feel tired, take an early break.

During the summer tourist season, traffic volume increases and many traffic accidents occur. Recently, there have also been many rear-end collisions caused by drivers who are distracted or drowsy while driving. If you feel sleepy or tired while driving, take an early break at a service area or parking area.

(2) Breakdown problems increase sharply in the summer! Be sure to check your vehicle before setting off.

Every year, summer is the time when car breakdowns are more frequent. The main causes of failure are "tire damage" and "failure to start". Most failures can be prevented with basic inspection.
If you stop on Expressway due to a breakdown, you are more likely to get into a traffic accident and it is very dangerous, so please do not forget to check the fuel, tires, oil, and cooling water before departure.

(3) Motorcycle accident prevention! Drive at a safe speed without passing through.

Unlike cars, motorcycles are easily affected by weather conditions such as rain and wind, and since there is nothing to protect the body in the event of an accident, even a minor accident can lead to a serious accident.
When riding a motorcycle on the Expressway, keep your speed low and keep a safe distance from other vehicles. Also, do not overtake on the shoulder of the road or between cars, as this is extremely dangerous.
In addition, because a motorcycle is exposed to strong winds in the same position for long periods of time, fatigue can easily accumulate. Make a conscious effort to stop at SA and PA and take regular breaks.

NEXCO EAST Group has positioned the period from 2021 to 2025 as "a period to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs and transform toward a new future society", and is making various efforts.
We believe that our efforts in this summer's Traffic Safety Campaign will contribute to SDG Goal 3 as a business activity that will lead to the reduction of casualties due to traffic fatalities.
