The average installation rate for winter tires was 76.1% for small cars, 97.7% for large cars, and 80.9% for all car types. It is against the law to drive on snowy or frozen roads with normal tires.
In addition, even in the metropolitan area where it usually does not snow, roads may freeze and snow may fall.
If even one vehicle is unable to drive on Expressway, it may lead to long-term traffic jams and road closures. When driving on snowy or icy roads, be sure to wear winter tires with studless markings (domestic markings) or snowflake markings (international markings), carry tire chains, and check the latest weather forecasts and road information to ensure safety. Please have a good drive. (Refer to [Attachment 2] [PDF: 513KB])
The NEXCO EAST Group has positioned the period from 2021 to 2025 as "a period to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs and transform toward a new future society", and is making various efforts.
We believe that our efforts to investigate the percentage of people wearing winter tires will contribute to SDG Goal 3 as a business activity that will lead to the reduction of casualties due to traffic accidents.
