NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office Office (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) conducted the second winter tire installation survey this year at a rest facility in the jurisdiction in mid-January to ensure safe driving on snowy roads. rice field.
The installation rate of winter tires was 77.1% on average for small vehicles, 98.0% on average for large vehicles, and 83.8% on average for all vehicle types. Compared to the previous survey (conducted on December 7 and 11, 2022), the installation rate has increased significantly, butabout 20% of customers in small cars have not installedit. It is against the law to drive on snowy or frozen roads with normal tires.
In addition, even in the metropolitan area where it usually does not snow, roads may freeze and snow may fall.
