Nagano Construction Office

NEXCO EAST At the Nagano Construction Office (Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture), E19 Nagano Expressway We will implement day and night continuous lane restrictions due to the renewal of the aging NakasoneGawa Bridge and the Iponmatsu Tunnel between the Makoto Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") and the Koshoku IC (upper and lower lines). In addition, in the renovation of the Iponmatsu Tunnel, traffic will be closed at night on the Out-bound line between Azumino IC and IC on Tuesday, June 7.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but please comply with the speed limit within the regulated section and cooperate in safe driving.
In addition, we do not predict the occurrence of traffic jams due to construction regulations, but please check traffic information on websites such as "Expressway Renewal Project Site" and "DraTra" when you go out.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding and cooperation in the construction.

Four. About transfer adjustment due to traffic closure

 通行止めにより高速道路を一旦流出し、通行止め区間を迂回して、再流入して順方向に乗り継がれるお客さまには、ご利用区間に応じて通行料金を調整する「乗継調整」を実施します。

  • Azusagawa Smart IC is limited to ETC vehicles of all models (12m or less).

How to use transit adjustment

<< ETC customers >>

  • Customers using ETC are requested to run the outflow designated IC wirelessly and the re-inflow designated IC wirelessly. (No transit certificate will be issued for ETC vehicles)
  • ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
Toll charges are adjusted at the time of billing, so they may differ from those displayed at the toll gate.
  • Insert the same ETC card for all journeys and pass through the ETC lane at the tollgate.

<< Customers for cash, etc. >>

  • Customers who pay by cash, etc. should receive the "passage certificate" at the outflow designated IC, and then get the "passport" at the re-inflow designated IC, and then make the "transfer" at the toll booth that pays the fare first. Please give us your "certificate" and "passport".

《Common to customers such as ETC and cash》

  • If the suspension of traffic is released after the outflow designated IC is released, the fare will be adjusted even if it is re-introduced from the IC (including the outflow designated IC) in the closed road section in the forward direction.

Five. Traffic regulation details

We will implement day and night continuous lane restrictions. When driving, please follow the local signs and drive safely.

  1. In-bound line (Koshoku IC ⇒ Omi IC)
    Regulation extension: Approximately 2.0km
(Because lane restrictions cannot be started safely in front of the Shibayama tunnel, lane restrictions will be applied from the front of the entrance on the Koshoku IC side of the Yawata tunnel.)

  3. Out-bound line (Omi IC ⇒ Koshoku IC)
    Regulation extension: Approximately 3.4km

6. Construction outline

  1. Bridge floor slab replacement work
The Nakasone Bridge, located on the Nagano Road In-bound Line Omi IC ⇒ Saraku IC, has a concrete floor due to fine cracks caused by an increase in wheel load due to the increase in vehicle size and salt contained by spraying antifreeze agents during the winter. Since the plate has deteriorated and the reinforcing bars have rusted, we will replace it with a more durable precast concrete deck.
  2. [Details of main construction]
By removing the deteriorated existing concrete deck of Nakasone Bridge and installing a new concrete deck, we will improve the running performance and safety.

  4. [Details of main construction]
Inverts are installed to improve stability in order to make the ring-shaped stronger structure for tunnels where excessive force is applied from around the tunnel. Specifically, after excavating the road surface, concrete (invert) will be installed to reinforce the bottom of the tunnel, and then pavement work will be carried out to return it to a road that can be driven. From May to July 4th year of Reiwa, as a preliminary step to the installation of the invert, the passage inside the tunnel (observer passage, audit path) was removed and the concrete (lining cradle) supporting the tunnel wall surface (lining) was installed. I will do it.

    Image image before construction
    Image image after construction
  • Invert is to connect the bottom of the tunnel to the reverse arch with concrete, which increases the yield strength and prevents subsidence and deformation.

These works will be carried out with continuous lane restrictions day and night. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this work is necessary to use the Expressway safely and comfortably.

7. 7. Request when using

  1. Due to the construction, the number of lanes will be reduced from the current two lanes on each side to one lane due to the continuous day and night lane regulation for about 2.0km on the In-bound line and about 3.4km on the Out-bound line. Since the lane width is narrow in the day and night continuous lane regulation section, please observe the regulated speed when driving, secure the inter-vehicle distance, and be careful about rear-end collisions. In addition, the lane position will change depending on the progress of construction, so please be careful when passing.
  2. Vehicles for construction work may enter and leave the area around the construction site, so please be careful when traveling ahead.
  3. Before going out, please check the latest lane regulations and traffic information on the site described in "8. How to obtain traffic information". In addition, please leave plenty of time when using it.
  4. During the construction period, we will provide construction regulation information using LED information boards and road signs and call attention to driving safely. Please check this information before driving and drive safely.

8. How to get traffic information

(1) Guidance by distribution / posting

  • Information on posters, leaflets and digital signage will be posted at nearby tollhouses, SA / PA.
  • A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.

(2) Road traffic information that can be obtained before going out

(3) Road traffic information available while using the Expressway

  • Road information board
  • Highway radio (AM1620kHz)
The highway radio section is indicated by signs on the Expressway.
  • Highway Information Terminal
Wide-area road information is provided in an easy-to-understand manner on the monitor screens installed in SA / PA.
  • Traffic information is also distributed on Twitter's official account "NEXCO EAST (Kanto)" (@e_nexco_kanto). We will inform you about the decision to implement the road closure in "NEXCO EAST (Kanto Construction Regulations)" (@e_nexco_kanto_k).
  • Information will also be distributed on the official LINE account.
