NEXCO EAST Saitama Construction Office (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) and Tokorozawa Management Office (Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture) are located near the Ranzan Parking Area (hereinafter "Kan-Etsu Expressway") on the E17 Kan-Kan-Etsu Expressway (hereinafter "Kan-etsu In-bound"). We have been working on measures to prevent traffic congestion in Saitama, but we are pleased to inform you that we will start operating the Yuzuri lane on March 25, 4th (Friday), Saitama.

3. 3. Congestion measures business outline

Congestion occurs on the Kan-Kan-Etsu Expressway during periods of heavy traffic, such as the busy summer season, long holidays, and holidays and ski seasons. The main reasons for this are that the speed of the car slows down at the point of change (sag part) from the Out-bound slope to the In-bound slope of the main line, and that the vehicles are concentrated at the divergence / merging of Arashiyama PA.
Congestion can be expected to be alleviated by developing a lane near Ranzan PA.
