It is against the law to drive on snowy or icy roads with summer tires.
Even in the metropolitan area where it does not normally snow, road surface freezes and snowfall may occur.

If even one vehicle is unable to drive on the Expressway, it may lead to long-term traffic jams or road closures. On snowy or icy roads, please wear winter tires and carry tire chains, check the latest weather forecast and road information, and drive safely. (See Attachment-2 [PDF: 285KB])

The NEXCO EAST Group has positioned the period from 2021 to 2025 as "a period that contributes to the achievement of the SDGs and transforms into a new future society," and is making various efforts.
We believe that the efforts of this "Winter Tire Installation Rate Survey" will contribute to the third SDGs target as a business activity that will lead to the reduction of casualties due to traffic deaths.
