NEXCO EAST Keihin Management Office (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) is on the target section between E16 Yokohama Yokosuka Road ​Kamariya Junction (hereinafter "JCT") and Asahina Asahina Interchange (hereinafter "IC"). We will implement nighttime road closures and all-day lane restrictions due to construction work to replace the old floor slabs of a certain Kamariya No. 2 High Bridge Kamari and Yokohama with new ones.
As the construction progresses, the construction will be carried out while switching lane positions. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers, but please be careful when traveling on the target section.
In addition, during the construction period, traffic congestion is predicted on the In-bound line mainly on weekday mornings and evenings near the Kamariya JCT-Asahina IC, and a maximum of about 6km of traffic congestion is expected. Customers who plan to use the In-bound line on weekdays are kindly requested to change the usage time zone and use it with plenty of time.
Renewal work is necessary to use Expressway safely and securely. We will do our best to minimize the inconvenience to our customers, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

(2) Congestion forecast
During all-day lane restrictions, traffic congestion is predicted on weekday mornings and evenings, mainly on the In-bound line. In addition, on the In-bound line, traffic congestion of up to about 6 km (passing time of about 20 minutes) is predicted, starting from the construction restricted section.

Four. Request when using

1. The construction regulation section will be lane-regulated all day for about 0.8km. Since the regulated speed of the construction restricted section is 50km / h, traffic congestion (In-bound line) is predicted at the beginning of the construction restricted section, so please change the usage time and go out with plenty of time. Thank you for your cooperation.
2. The driving lane and shoulders may become narrower in the construction restricted section. In addition, the extension of the In-bound line branch and Out-bound line confluence of Kamariya JCT is shortened. When driving, please observe the regulated speed, secure the distance between vehicles, and be careful about rear-end collisions.
3. Please follow the local information signboard in the construction restricted section. In addition, the lane position will change depending on the progress of construction, so please be careful when passing.
4. Vehicles for construction work may enter and leave the area around the construction site, so please be careful when traveling ahead.
5. During the construction period, we will provide traffic congestion information and construction regulation information using road information boards and road signs, and call attention to driving safely. Please check this information before driving and drive safely.

Five. Efforts to minimize inconvenience to customers due to construction work

   • By improving the median strip of the upper and lower lines to allow vehicles to pass through, it is possible to secure 4 lanes (2 lanes above and below) while switching the lane position according to the construction site even during construction, due to construction regulations. Alleviate traffic congestion.
   • By utilizing the road zipper system, the partition between the upper and lower lines of the construction restricted section will be a concrete guard fence. In addition, since the lane position can be switched quickly, it is possible to improve the safety of customers when passing by.
2. Adoption of precast products for the purpose of shortening the construction period
   • By adopting precast (products manufactured in advance at factories, etc.) PC floor slabs, the construction period is shortened and the regulation period is shortened as much as possible.

6. Construction outline

1. Outline of construction work when traffic is closed at night
   On January 17, 4th year of Reiwa (Monday), we will carry out a gate-type sign installation work as a preparatory work for lane regulation all day when the traffic is closed at night between Kamariya JCT and Asahina IC on the Yokosuka Road. To avoid inconvenience to our customers, we will close traffic on weekday nights when traffic is light and carry out construction intensively and efficiently. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this work is necessary to use the Expressway safely and comfortably.

2. Outline of construction work during all-day lane regulation
   The floor slab replacement work for the Kamaritani No. 2 Viaduct will be carried out under the all-day lane regulation from February 7, 4th year of Reiwa. The floor slab replacement work is the work to replace the concrete floor slab damaged by aging and the increase of large vehicles with a new prestressed concrete floor slab with higher durability. In addition, high-performance floor slab waterproofing will be implemented on the waterproof layer to prevent deterioration of the concrete floor slab.
