The Kanagawa Prefectural Police replaces the ETC on-board unit and ETC card registered under the name of the person on another ETC lane such as Daisan-Keihin Road with a vehicle different from the vehicle for which disability discount registration is carried out. The arrest this time abused the disability discount system and repeated driving that did not follow the traffic method prescribed by the road company, so the East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. Kanto Regional Head Office, the Metropolitan Expressway Co., Ltd. and the Nakanihon Expressway Tokyo Regional Head Office ( The “road company”) jointly reported to the Kanagawa Prefectural Police, which resulted in the arrest.
Road companies have been working on measures such as installation of unauthorized traffic surveillance cameras so as not to damage customers' trust in the toll road business, but this time, the fact that the suspect was arrested We believe that this will help ensure fairness of the burden and prevent unauthorized traffic.
In addition, regarding illegal tolls by the suspect, the toll fee will be checked and a surcharge (double the toll fee exempted) will be charged in addition to the illegally tolled toll fee.
