3 Construction overview

Joshinetsu Expressway This is the repair work for the "Akari-san" tunnel between Usui Karuizawa IC and Saku IC (Out-bound line).

Since the lower part of the tunnel has been damaged and the paved road surface is being damaged this time, full-scale repair work is being carried out before the traffic is affected.

Since it took time to reinforce the lower part of the damaged tunnel body, and it was necessary to construct each lane, construction was carried out under day and night continuous lane regulations.

The invert installation work will be completed by the end of July 2018, but from August, we will continue to restore the facilities in the tunnel that were relocated before the start of the work.
