NEXCO EAST Mito Administration Office (Mito city, Ibaraki prefecture)E51 Higashi-Kanto Expressway (Higashi Kanto Expressway) Between Ibaraki Airport North Interchange (IC) and Ibaraki Town Junction (JCT), we will carry out nighttime traffic closures to carry out pavement repair work and sign work accompanying extension of the East Kanto Expressway.

2 Detour route map

During construction, the area between Ibaraki Airport North IC of Higashi Kanto Expressway and Ibarakicho JCT cannot be used.

• From Ibaraki Airport North IC to Kita-Kanto Expressway Tomobe JCT/Utsunomiya area Customers using
  As indicated by the orange arrow, head north on Prefectural Road No. 18, turn left at the Tobaneda Intersection, turn right at the intersection of Prefectural Road No. 43 and Prefectural Road No. 59, and use Ibarakicho Nishi IC from Prefectural Road No. 59.
• From Ibaraki Airport North IC to Kita-Kanto Expressway Mito Minami/Hitachinaka Customers using
  As indicated by the blue arrow, head north on Prefectural Road 18, turn left at Tobada Crossing, then turn right at Obana Minami Crossing, and use National Highway 6 to Ibarakicho Higashi IC.
• From Ibarakicho West IC bound for Ibaraki Airport North IC Customers going to
  As indicated by the orange arrow, go south on Prefectural Road 59, turn left at the intersection of Prefectural Road 59 and Prefectural Road 43, then turn right at Tobada Crossing, and drive from Prefectural Road 18 toward Ibaraki Airport IC.
• From Ibarakicho East IC bound for Ibaraki Airport North IC Customers going to
  As indicated by the blue arrow, head south on National Highway No. 6, turn left at Obata Minami intersection, turn right at Tobaneda intersection, and then take prefectural road No. 18 toward Ibaraki Airport IC.

This detour will take about 10 minutes longer than using the Higashi Kanto Expressway, so please allow plenty of time when you go out.

3 Work overview

Higashi Kanto Expressway Ibaraki Airport North IC-Ibaraki Town JCT Repair work on damaged road surface, sign work, and maintenance work will be carried out.

In addition, in order to minimize the impact on the customer, the work will be closed on weekdays during the night when traffic is light, and the work will be carried out intensively and efficiently.
