Due to the summer traffic congestion period, the lane regulation due to construction was temporarily lifted, but construction will resume from August 21, 2017 (Monday).

3 Construction overview

Joshinetsu Expressway This is the repair work for the "Akari-san" tunnel between Usui Karuizawa IC and Saku IC (Out-bound line).

Since the lower part of the tunnel is damaged and the pavement surface is being damaged, full-scale repair work will be carried out before the traffic is affected.

Since it takes time to reinforce the damaged lower part of the tunnel body and it is necessary to construct each lane, we will carry out the construction under the day and night continuous lane regulation.

By reinforcing the lower part of the tunnel body, the structure of the tunnel is strengthened, and damage to the paved road surface is repaired to improve safety.

State of actual construction

Of the 150m invert installation extension, about 20m was completed by July 2017.

Content of regulation

The maximum speed is 50km/h in the lane regulation section.
In addition, the width of the lane at the construction site is narrow, so when using it, please follow the signs etc. on the site and drive safely.
