NEXCO EAST Chiba Management Office (Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture) paved between the two-lane section (one lane on each side) between Ken-o Expressway (Ken-O Road) Kanzaki Interchange (IC) and Shimosa IC. We will carry out nighttime traffic closures for repair work.

2 Detour

Ken-O Road When the road between Kanzaki IC and Shimosa IC is closed, the detours will be parallel prefectural and national roads. The travel time between the Kanzaki IC and Shimosa IC (about 4km) is usually about 4 minutes, but if you use the detour route, the travel time will be about 20 minutes (about 10km), so please take time to go. 3 Construction overview

Ken-O Road In order to secure safe and comfortable traffic between the Kanzaki IC and Shimosa IC, we will carry out construction work to repair steps on the pavement.

In order to minimize the impact on our customers during the construction work, we will close the roads during the nighttime on weekdays when traffic is light, and carry out concentrated and efficient repairs.

We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that our customers can use our products safely and comfortably.

    We will repair areas where a step has occurred due to subsidence of pavement and improve runnability and safety.

4 Regarding transfer fare adjustment due to suspension of traffic

Passengers who leave the Expressway once due to a night-time suspension of traffic and then bypass the suspension of traffic and transfer to the same direction again will make a "transit adjustment" to adjust the toll according to the segment used. Attachment-2 [PDF:327KB]

How to use transfer fare adjustment

≪ETC customers≫
  • Customers using ETC are requested to run the outflow IC wirelessly and the re-inflow IC wirelessly. (“Transit certificate” will not be issued for ETC vehicles)
  • ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
    Toll charges are adjusted at the time of billing and may differ from those displayed at the tollgate.
≪Customers such as cash≫
  • Customers who pay in cash, etc. should receive the "passenger certificate" at the outflow IC, collect a passport at the re-inflow IC, and then issue the "passenger certificate" at the toll gate where the fee is paid first. Please give me

Precautions regarding transit fare adjustment

After cancellation of the suspension of traffic, the transfer fare will be adjusted even if the traffic flows in from the outflow IC.

5 How to obtain traffic information
