NEXCO EAST Nasu Management Office (Nasu-machi, Nasu-gun, Tochigi Prefecture) will carry out pavement repair work involving additional parking in the Kamikochi service area (Out-bound) of the Tohoku Expressway. For this reason, the entrance ramp to the Tohoku Expressway Out-bound line of the adjacent Kamikawachi Smart Interchange (Smart IC) will be closed at night (1 night) from 20:00 on February 8 to 6:00 the next morning.

Please use Prefectural Route 63, National Route 293, National Route 4 as a detour from Kamikawachi Smart IC. Attachment [PDF: 116KB]
Tohoku Expressway Kamikochi Smart IC-Yaita IC usually takes about 10 minutes, but if you take a detour from Kamikawachi Smart IC on Prefectural Road 63, National Route 293 or National Route 4, it will take about 30 minutes. It will take about 20 minutes longer, so please take time to go out. (Large view)
4 Construction overview
Tohoku Expressway Kamikochi service area (Out-bound line), we are expanding parking lots, making them barrier-free, and repairing damaged parking pavements. During the construction period, the construction of the SA is divided into multiple blocks in order to secure the parking space (refer to the figure below). Of these, the area near the inflow section from the smart IC is to be constructed, so it is necessary to close the entrance lamp before starting work.
Therefore, in order to minimize the impact on our customers, we will close the building at night when traffic is light and carry out the work intensively and efficiently.
We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that our customers can use our products safely and comfortably.
