NEXCO EAST NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) is jointly working with related organizations such as the Expressway Traffic Police Corps and the Expressway Traffic Safety Council, from Golden Week to spring traffic safety campaign period (May 11, 2015- By the 20th, we will hold a "Spring Traffic Safety Campaign" at 17 locations such as SA and PA in the area.

Seatbelts that save lives Let's wear them on all seats!
Last year, there were five fatal accidents in which the seat belts were not worn on the Expressway within the Kanto Regional Head Office Office and were released outside the vehicle, resulting in death. Similarly since the beginning of 2015, fatal accidents and serious accidents due to release from the vehicle frequently occur doing. Since seat belts are directly linked to life, Wearing all the driver's seat, passenger seat and rear seat Be thorough.
In some campaigns, vehicles where you can experience a collision experiment with wearing a seatbelt are exhibited. Effect experience Let's reaffirm the importance of seat belts through.
If you feel sleepy, take an early break (let's break!!)!
At Expressway, the number of fatal accidents and fatalities has increased for the fifth consecutive year. Especially, within 1 hour after riding Expressway or Half of them are fatal accidents where the distance is less than 100 km. In response to this, at NEXCO EAST, we are working with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the National Police Agency to encourage everyone to take an early break (let's break!!). If you feel tired, take a break early!
"Wear all seat belts!"
Last year, there were five tragic accidents on the Expressway within the Kanto Regional Head Office Headquarters, where seat belts were not worn and the seats were released outside the vehicle resulting in death.
Looking at historical data, non-wearers have a fatality rate that is about 18 times that of wearers. (Fig. 1 below)
Looking at each seat, about 80% of the back seats die without wearing seat belts. (Fig. 2 below)
Expressway has been required to wear it since 2008, and there are many cases where it is released outside the vehicle, so be sure to wear a seat belt for passengers in the rear seats. (Figure 3 below)
The Road Traffic Law requires that you wear a seat belt (including the back seat). If you violate it, you will be penalized (1 point deduction), so be sure to wear seat belts for all seats.
"If you feel sleepy or tired, take a break early!"
If you feel drowsiness or tired while driving on the Expressway, do not overdo it and rest at the nearest rest facility. In particular, it is easy for an accident to occur within an hour of riding on the Expressway, so please refresh yourself at a rest facility early and drive safely.
