NEXCO EAST Utsunomiya Management Office (Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture) will perform restoration work on the pavement damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake at the Tohoku Expressway Kanuma Interchange (IC) and the connecting passageway (lamp) of the Utsunomiya IC.
For this reason, the outflow lamp from Kanuma IC to Usumiya and the outflow lamp from Utsunomiya IC to Utsunomiya will be closed at night. Please use the detour route during construction.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you may have some time when you go out.

In case of stormy weather, the decision to close at night will be made at 16:00 pm on the day of the implementation.
- Lamps will not be closed at two locations at the same time. If Monday, November 26, 2012 and Tuesday, November 27 are canceled on both days, the construction of Kanuma IC will be carried out after November 28, 2012 (Wednesday). In addition, if the construction is not completed within the two days reserved in the above table, construction will be performed on weekdays from the next week.

3 Construction overview
Tohoku Expressway Kanuma IC and Utsunomiya IC have steps on the pavement due to the Great East Japan Earthquake. For this reason, traffic will be closed at night and pavement repair work for spilled lamps will be carried out.
Since this work involves a series of operations such as "pavement removal, pavement laying, and road marking" for areas with narrow roads, it is necessary to close the ramps.
Therefore, in order to minimize the impact on our customers, we will close construction during the night on weekdays when traffic is light and carry out construction work intensively and efficiently.
