NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo) and Nexeria East Japan Utsunomiya Branch (Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture) aim to improve menu development motivation of chefs working at restaurants in the service area (SA) and create unique stores. As part of the “flower making”, we will hold “NEXCO EAST 6th New Menu Contest Utsunomiya Block Qualifying Session” with the theme of “Enjoy everyone's smile and smile everyone”.
At the Utsunomiya block qualifying event, seven SA restaurants in Saitama and Tochigi prefectures on the Tohoku Expressway competed for a safe and secure discerning menu with carefully selected ingredients using the network in the East Japan region, and were selected for the gold medal. The two stores will challenge the final tournament held in Tokyo next March.

6 Examination method
After 10 tasting examinations by cooking experts and representatives of customers, the works of two stores that won the gold medal will be exhibited at the final competition (held on Thursday, March 22, 2012).

"Chukasai Kayu Yuzen" (Hasuda SA Out-bound Line)
It is a round-table Chinese dish that is inspired by a family's hand-rolled sushi party and a picnic gathering together. We made a menu that can only be eaten here, using "Fukaya beef," "hime pork," and "norabou vegetables," which represent Saitama.
"Family group orchid ~ Nasu story" (Nasu Kogen SA In-bound line)
The Tonachi Kirifuri Kogen beef shank, which was softly boiled, and the floral decoration of "Yashio Masu" were topped on the earthen-pot chawanmushi that was steamed with Nasu fertilized eggs. A lotus root bird cage and small bird flower dim sum are also included for children to enjoy. There are two types of desserts.
