NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office in (Taito-ku, Tokyo), due to the Tohoku region Pacific Ocean earthquake that occurred 46 pm March 11, 2011 14 Expressway for the damage, Kanto Regional Head Office Kanto in the Regional Head Office disaster countermeasures headquarters (General Manager : Shinichi Ishikawa, the president of the Regional Head Office has been set up to confirm the damage situation and at the same time, is making every possible effort to restore the disaster area.
1. Cancellation of suspension of traffic (The table below shows the situation only within the jurisdiction of our Kanto Regional Head Office)
On March 16th, at 6 am, we will cancel the road closures for the sections in the table below.

2. Cancellation of emergency traffic route designation
It has been announced by the National Police Agency that the emergency traffic routes for the sections in the table below will be canceled at 6:00 am on March 16th.

3. About closure of rest facility
Joban Expressway As for Tomobe service area (upper and lower) and Kasama parking area (northbound) in the north Kanto Expressway, water and buildings have been damaged by this earthquake, so Expressway main line The rest facility will be closed until the repair is completed even after the suspension of road closure. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
Four. Road damage and restoration status
The most damaged area in the Kanto Regional Head Office is the Joban Expressway Mito IC-Naka IC (In-bound line). We are currently working hard to recover.
Five. Emergency vehicle passage
Between the Kita-Kanto Expressway Ota Kiryu IC ⇒ Sano Danuma IC scheduled to open on Saturday, March 19 at 15:00, There is also a situation where the parallel national highway No. 50 is more crowded than usual due to disaster recovery, etc. When an emergency vehicle is requested, we are able to drive.
