NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo, Regional Head Office president: Shinichi Ishikawa) is a member of the cut slope surface layer A near ramp A (incoming ramp to Tokyo) at Futtsu Takeoka interchange (IC) on the Tateyama Expressway We would like to inform you of the prospect of when to close the lamp.

1 Outlook for closing the A lamp

The closure is scheduled to be released during Monday, March 8, 2010.
We will inform you when the detailed time is decided.
In addition, the closing schedule may change depending on the weather after tomorrow. In that case, we will inform you separately.

2 About emergency recovery

1) Cause of collapse of the surface layer of the slope

As a result of the investigation, it is considered that the wedge-shaped collapse occurred because rainwater entered the cracks on the slope and pushed the weathered soil mass.

2) Outline of temporary restoration work

To date, a large sandbag and a safety/alarm device have been installed to prevent rock fragments from scattering to the main line, and last night, the Tateyama Expressway main line was closed at night, and the mixed rock and sand present on the cut slopes. Was removed by a large machine.

Starting today, we will manually remove and reshape the remaining sand on the slopes, re-examine the slopes, and carry out emergency restoration work by spraying concrete to prevent the slopes from collapsing.

After the emergency restoration is completed, we plan to continue this restoration work.
