NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo, Regional Head Office: Shinichi Ishikawa) is connected to the Higashi-Kanto Expressway Mito Line currently under construction between the Kita-Kanto Expressway Ibarakicho Nishi Interchange (IC) and Ibarakicho East IC. We will carry out night traffic closures for the bridge construction work of the junction (JCT) (tentative name).

Since this work is a rare work that uses one of the largest 800-ton cranes in Japan, we are making adjustments so that people living near the construction site and people involved in the media can see the pattern. So, as soon as the details are decided, we will inform you separately.

From Monday, September 28, 2009 23:00 to 5:00 the next morning (6 hours)
Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from 23:00 to 5:00 the next morning (6 hours)
- In case of stormy weather, it will be postponed to the same time zone on the next day or the day after the next day.
- In case of stormy weather, the decision on whether or not to close at night will be made at 17:00 on the day of the implementation.
2 Detour
Kita-Kanto Expressway It takes about 5 minutes between Ibaraki-cho West IC and Ibaraki-cho East IC (6.8km), but if you use the detour route, it will take about 20 minutes, so it will take more time. Please go out with. Please refer to Attachment 1 [PDF:192KB] for detailed detour routes.

3 Construction overview

The construction of the Ibaraki JCT (provisional name) of the Higashi-Kanto Expressway Mito Line between the Kita-Kanto Expressway Ibarakicho Nishi IC and the Ibarakicho Higashi IC will build a bridge that will serve as a connecting road between the Kita Kanto Expressway and the East Kanto Expressway Mito Line in the future. We will do the construction.
