Chiba Prefectural Police today, Higashi-Kanto Expressway and capital Expressway in ETC lanes, as has been performed an illegal way, suspects three road maintenance special measures law violation or electronic calculator use fraud (of the Penal Code 246 Article 2 ) Has been arrested on charges.
This arrest resulted in the arrest of the East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. and the Shuto Expressway Co., Ltd., which jointly reported to the Chiba Prefectural Police, because they were illegally exempted from paying the toll. ..
East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. and the capital city Expressway Co., Ltd. have been working with a strong stance of "no unauthorized traffic" so as not to damage the trust of customers in the toll road business. However, we believe that the arrest of three suspects is significant not only from the perspective of ensuring fairness in toll burdens and deterrence of illegal traffic, but also from a safety perspective.
Both companies will continue to take a firm stand against illegal traffic and will continue to actively cooperate with police investigations to tackle illegal traffic.
