NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo, Regional Head Office length: Shinichi Ishikawa) is, for the purpose of promoting the "fall nationwide traffic safety campaign", jointly with the Saitama prefectural police high speed Corps, 2008 September 27 (Sat) Will hold an "Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign" promotion event in the Tohoku Expressway Hanyu Parking Area (In-bound line).
In this event, the revised Road Traffic Law was enforced in June this year, and it was obligatory to wear seat belts on the back seats, and 40% of those who died in a traffic accident on the Expressway placed on the back seats. Based on the data (2007) that 90% of those who died while seated did not wear seat belts, police officers and employees of our company will give instruction to wear each vehicle one by one.
In addition, we set up a "collision impact experience vehicle (seat belt combiner)" at the venue to let people understand the importance of wearing a seat belt through a simulated experience of the strength of the impact received in the event of an accident. Will distribute locally produced Hosui Pear with the wish of "no accident" to encourage safe driving and improve the seatbelt wearing rate in the rear seats.
In addition, at the event venue, we will hold various events that can be enjoyed by families as well as small children.
