(Tentative name) Kuroiso Interchange Overview

The new (tentative name) Kuroiso Interchange will be established close to the Kuroiso parking area at Tohoku Expressway (provisional name) and will contribute to the activation and traffic congestion relief of the Nasu area including Nasu-Shiobara City. Tochigi Prefecture and NEXCO EAST are proceeding with construction aiming for completion.

When this interchange is completed, a new access route to the Nasu Kogen area will be formed in addition to the Nasu interchange and Nishinasuno Shiobara interchange. This will disperse the traffic concentrated during the holiday season and alleviate the traffic congestion on the Tohoku Expressway and surrounding general roads.

In addition, a university has already opened in the surrounding area, and a company is being located in the Higashi-Nasu Industrial Park. At the same time, the Tohoku Shinkansen “Nasu-Shiobara Station” is being developed as a core base. It is expected that the completion of the interchange will improve convenience and promote regional development and revitalization.
