Report on the Interim Report (Part 7) of the Study Group on the Survey of Birds of Prey in the Southern Area of Yokohama City on the Yokohama Loop South Line

NEXCO EAST Yokohama Construction Office (Asahi Ward, Yokohama City, Director: Shigeki Yagi) held the "11th Yokohama City Southern Region Raptor Survey Study Group" on September 7, 2006, and conducted the 2006 survey. We will inform you as we have made an interim report including the results.

For the report of this study meeting and the interim report, the Yokohama construction office at the time of the former JH provided information on the habitat of the goshawk, which is positioned as a rare wild animal and plant species in the southern area of Yokohama City, and from February 2000 We have conducted a survey every year since the establishment of the "Yokohama City Southern Region Birds of Prey Survey Committee (Chair: Toshitaka Shibata, Vice President, Kanagawa Prefectural Conservation Association)" in August of the same year.

The Yokohama Loop South Line (hereinafter referred to as "Yokohama South") forms part of the "Ken-o Expressway" and is also positioned as an important road in the comprehensive planning of Kanagawa Prefecture and Yokohama City.

The Yokominami is located within a radius of 10 to 15km from the center of Yokohama, facilitating mutual communication among the suburbs of Yokohama City, integrating the city, and alleviating traffic congestion in central Yokohama. It is an important motorway that is a part of the "Yokohama Ring Road" that was planned for the purpose.
