NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo) has compiled the following information on traffic conditions in Hokkaido during the year-end and New Year holidays [2024 Friday, December 27 through Sunday, January 5, 2025: 10 days].
- 平均日交通量は、昨年度の同時期と比べ100％でした。
- There were 16 traffic jams of over 1 km in length, 13 more than during the same period last year. This year, many of the traffic jams were caused by road closures due to snowstorms and accidents.
- 最大の渋滞長は、
1月3日（金）12時00分、E5道央道 恵庭インターチェンジ（IC）→輪厚スマートIC（下り・札幌方面）で事故が原因で発生した4.0km及び、
1月3日（金）15時35分、E5道央道 恵庭IC→輪厚スマートIC（下り・札幌方面）で交通集中が原因で発生した4.0kmでした。
