NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo) will hold the "Hokkaido Highway Show Area® 2024 in Sunagawa SA" from 11:00 to 17:00 on Monday, July 15th (national holiday) at the Sunagawa Service Area (SA) (In-bound, Sapporo direction) on the E5 Do-O Expressway (Do-o Expressway).

The "Hokkaido Highway Show Area®" is an event that actively promotes the attractive "food and tourism" of various parts of Hokkaido in cooperation with the local community, and disseminates the charms of the region from service areas and parking areas in order to contribute to regional development. It is held every year as part of the promotion of tourism in Hokkaido, and many customers visit the event.

At the venue, various groups will be promoting the charms of the region, selling local delicacies and specialties such as scallops from Rumoi City and cherries from Niki Town, and promoting the region. In addition, there will be a raffle with local souvenirs, as well as activities that the whole family can enjoy, such as taking photos with patrol cars, giving away "child safety licenses," and a quiz rally.

(1) Regional promotion, sales of local gourmet and special products using local ingredients

(2) Traffic Safety Campaign

We will be holding a "Summer Traffic Safety Campaign" in collaboration with the Hokkaido Prefectural Police and the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF). We will be exhibiting patrol cars (3 vehicles) and promoting traffic safety and distributing novelties. In addition, we will have a corner where you can wear a child's traffic control uniform and take photos, as well as obtain a "Child Safety License" issued by JAF.

(3) Present plan for visitors

During the event, balloons will be given away to the first 150 customers. In addition, flower seedlings will be given away to the first 240 customers who spend 500 yen or more (tax included) at the shops and event booths at Sunagawa SA (In-bound, Sapporo direction), and stag beetles will be given away in limited quantities to children.
There will also be a Hokkaido Smartphone Stamp Rally, an initiative of NEXCO EAST, and a fun raffle where you can win great prizes by answering quizzes about exhibitors in the Highway Show Area.
