NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Sapporo City Atsubetsu-ku) is a related organization such as Hokkaido Police during the winter traffic safety campaign (November 15-24) in order to use the Expressway in winter safely and comfortably. 1 Snow season has arrived!
The first observation day of snowfall on the Expressway last year was November 1st near Tomamu, and almost 15th November.
2 About twice the number of accidents occurred on Expressway winter
Every year, the number of accidents increases sharply from early winter around November. Be careful, especially at the entrances and exits of tunnels and on bridges because it is easy to freeze. With early winter equipment, you can drive safely.
The winter road surface is covered with snow and ice, making it extremely slippery, and it is extremely dangerous to drive at the same speed and handling as in summer. Always consider what to do if you are driving with extreme caution.

4 Road safety campaign implementation contents
During the winter of traffic safety exercise period, the "Manmoshi snow-covered road campaign of Dr." Expressway the other to distribute the leaflets in order to get to know widely to customers you use, speed down, drowsy driving prevention, Expressway on Handing out traffic safety awareness leaflets for preventing accidents outside the vehicle and manatee goods (such as mechanical pens and wet tissues) to call for traffic safety.

5 Dr. Mammoshi's Snow Road Campaign

This campaign introduces points to watch out for in winter driving such as on bridges and tunnel entrances and exits, and calls for early winter equipment replacement in early winter.
