East Japan/Central Japan/West Japan Expressway Co., Ltd. is a measure to prevent head-on collisions in temporary long lanes (50 m or more) and tunnel sections in the temporary two-lane section of the Expressway, from April 25, 2017 to 2017. Until July 24th, we invited public companies for technology development of "lane marking fence (tentative name)" from private companies.

We would like to inform you that we have selected the technology to verify the performance through experiments etc. from the applied technologies.
We plan to verify the performance through experiments, etc. for about a year from December 2017 onward, after proceeding with the companies that have proposed the selected technology. Verification In the "Expressway take the Technical Review Committee on head-on collision accident prevention measures" and the like as appropriate cooperation, to evaluate the effects and challenges related to practical use, about what effect was observed 2019 than later It will be installed on a temporary two-lane section of the Expressway.

Regarding measures to prevent accidental jumping out of the temporary two-lane section to the opposite lane, we are currently working on trial installation of wire rope in the earthwork and medium-small bridge (less than 50 m long) sections with a Standard width of 10.5 m, and continue. We will work to improve the safety of the temporary two-lane section.
