On April 28, 2015, East Japan, Central Japan, West Japan, Capital City, Hanshin, Honshu-Shikoku Expressway Co., Ltd. will analyze the cause of reverse running on the Expressway from 2011 to 2014, Announced promotion of reverse run measures.
Recently, we analyzed the number of reverse runs and the occurrence situation during the 9 months from January to September 2015, verified the effect at the places where measures were completed during 2014, and newly prioritized We have summarized the points where measures are taken.
Going forward, we will continue to implement reverse-travel measures in cooperation with related organizations, and through participation in the “Efforts toward Zero Reverse-Traffic Accidents on Expressway 2020,” announced today by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. We will promote measures against reverse running.
