NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has summarized traffic congestion prediction and countermeasures due to traffic concentration during the Obon season [August 5, 2010 (Thurs)-August 18, 2010 (Wed): 14 days] ..

This forecast was created based on the traffic congestion period such as the Bon Festival last year and the traffic volume increase results such as free social experiment and the traffic congestion situation. Please use the traffic congestion forecast to decentralize your use of Expressway by staggering the use of traffic before and after the day or time when it is predicted to occur.

Regarding congestion measures during the Obon season, we will continue to implement the following measures based on the traffic congestion forecast and the situation during the traffic congestion period after the special holiday discount.
