[C4] About malfunction of emergency equipment in the Sugo Tunnel on the Ken-o Expressway

NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Omiya Ward, Saitama City) at 23:46 on August 28, 2017 C4 We apologize for the inconvenience caused to many customers by taking measures to prevent entry into the tunnel due to malfunction of emergency equipment at the Sugo Tunnel on the Ken-o Expressway.

1. Event

This time, the emergency equipment malfunctioned in the Sugo tunnel between the Hinode IC and Ome IC of the Ken-o Expressway, and the outside of the tunnel entry prohibition measures was operated from 23:46 to 23:49. It was carried out for 3 minutes in the inner circle for 3 minutes from 23:46 to 23:49.

As a result of checking the site, it was determined that there was no fire and that it was a malfunction.

This has caused many customers an inconvenience.

2. Future action

We are currently investigating the cause of the malfunction of the emergency equipment that caused the malfunction, and will take appropriate measures as soon as the cause is identified.
