About malfunction of emergency equipment in Joshin-Etsu Expressway Yakushidake tunnel

NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Omiya Ward, Saitama City) implemented "Prohibition of entry into the tunnel" due to malfunction of emergency equipment at the Joshin-Etsu Expressway Yakushidake Tunnel at 10:31 am on June 19, 2017, We apologize for any inconvenience caused to many customers.

1 Event

In this event, a malfunction of the emergency equipment occurred in the Yakushidake tunnel between Toyota Iiyama IC and Shinanomachi IC on the Joshin-Etsu Expressway, and the tunnel entry prohibition measures were taken on the In-bound line from 10:31 am to 10:55 am 24 minutes a minute, 1 hour 01 minutes from 10:31 am to 11:32 am on the Out-bound line.

As a result of checking the site, it was determined that there was no fire and that it was a malfunction.

This has caused many customers an inconvenience.

2 Future action

We are currently investigating the cause of the malfunction of the emergency equipment that caused the malfunction, and will take appropriate measures as soon as the cause is identified.
