NEXCO EAST will be broadcasting a video of food running, "#HighwayRunners," on the street vision in Shibuya Station and on the Tokyu Line vision from August 19 (Mon) to August 25 (Sun). As part of the company's PR efforts, the video is themed around "logistics," and uses "running food" to express the fact that many of the fresh ingredients we eat every day are transported via Expressway.

Project Purpose

The delicious food you are eating.
In our daily lives, we rarely think about where our food comes from and how it came from.
Every day, fresh ingredients are delivered by many people involved in logistics.
We at NEXCO EAST work hard every day to maintain and manage Expressway, hoping to be of help to you in this regard.
We have produced this newsletter to inform everyone about our work.
Please come and see us if you are in the area.

Expressway and fresh produce

  • Expressway account for over 70% of Japan's land freight transport volume, 7.7 times that of rail transport.
  • The Joshinetsu Expressway has been widened to four lanes, allowing access to 30 supermarkets in Niigata, Nagano, and Toyama.
The stability of logistics has improved dramatically.
  • With the opening of Expressway with less steep slopes, vegetables, fruits, and other products can now be delivered to the Kanto area without damage to the cargo.
