NEXCO EAST Mito Management Office (Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture) will work with Hitachi Seaside Park (Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture) to develop a flower bed in collaboration with the local community at the Tomobe Service Area (hereinafter referred to as "SA") (In-bound) on the E6 Joban Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Joban Expressway").
This initiative is based on our corporate philosophy of "Connecting the region, tying up with the region, connecting to the future." By recreating the flower beds of Hitachi Seaside Park, a national government park with one of Ibaraki's most scenic spots, at the E6 Joban Expressway Tonobe SA (In-bound), the initiative provides a refreshing experience for Expressway users, and is part of our efforts to promote tourism in Ibaraki and to collaborate with the local community.
To prepare the flower beds, Hitachi Seaside Park will provide nemophila and kochia seeds, as well as the cultivation techniques it has developed over many years.
The flower bed development is also one part of our "Flower and Greenery Peaceful Highway Garden Project."
To celebrate the completion of the flower beds, we will be holding an opening ceremony and a nemophila planting experience session limited to the first 60 people, so please come and join us.

Planting nemophila seedlings in the flower bed
We plan to distribute small gifts to customers who participate on the day.
An opening ceremony will be held prior to the Nemophila planting experience event.
