NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo) and Shin Sapporo Driving School (Nishinosato, Kitahiroshima) will be holding a Winter Road Safety Driving Seminar on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Shin Sapporo Driving School (Nishinosato, Kitahiroshima) as a traffic safety measure to improve driving skills on winter roads during the winter, when accidents are on the rise.
The experienced instructors from Shin-Sapporo Driving School, as well as guest professional drivers active in Hokkaido, will provide a gentle and thorough lecture on steering and braking techniques on winter roads.
In addition, representatives from the Hokkaido Prefectural Police's Atsubetsu Police Station and Expressway Traffic Police Unit will each give a talk about traffic safety on public roads and Expressway in winter.
　We welcome participation from those who are unfamiliar with driving on winter roads and beginners!

Four. content

• In addition to instructors from Shin-Sapporo Driving Academy, guest professional drivers Katsumi Muraoka and Masato Sekine will ride in the training vehicle driven by the participants and give lectures on steering and braking tips on winter roads.
• Lectures such as a flame canister ignition experience, tips for getting stuck, and other special projects are also planned.

5. Notes
   
   • During the practical training, you will use training cars from Shin-Sapporo Driving School.
     Please note that you cannot participate in the tour in your own car.
   • Please be sure to bring your driver's license because it is a condition that you have a normal driver's license or higher.
   • Practical training sessions with an instructor or guest professional driver will last approximately 10 minutes per person.
   • The content may be changed or the event may be canceled depending on the weather and course conditions.
     Please be aware of this.

On the day, you can cover the lecture (about winter road safety), the classroom course (a talk session by a guest pro driver and an instructor from Shin-Sapporo Driving School), and the practical course (driving on the on-site course, igniting flares, and escaping from a stuck vehicle).
