Overview of social finance

NEXCO EAST is the first Expressway company to receive a third-party evaluation on social finance from the Rating Investment Information Center (R&I).

Social finance is a means of financing that is used for business that solves social issues.

NEXCO EAST has been allocating the funds procured to the Expressway business so far, and has been engaged in social contribution activities such as "regional revitalization", "disaster countermeasures", "promotion of traffic safety", and "environmental conservation". .

By further promoting these efforts, the four core elements of the Social Bond Principles established by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) (“[1] Use of proceeds” and “[2] Project evaluation and In order to formulate the social finance framework (this framework) and to ensure its transparency, the selection process", "[3] Management of procurement funds", and "[4] Reporting". , R&I has obtained a third-party evaluation. As a result, corporate bonds and loans procured by NEXCO EAST under this framework are treated as social finance.

NEXCO EAST will continue to strive for social contribution activities by utilizing the funds raised while deepening everyone's understanding of the initiatives of our business.
